Wow, I had no idea what to anticipate when I first came across the Avengers of Light. Middle Grade books aren't usually my cup of tea, but this one turned out to be an absolute delight. Right from the moment Elsha Dyer and her siblings found themselves whisked away to the Manor, my curiosity was piqued. I wondered how this book would put a fresh spin on the familiar "school for gifted youngsters" concept, and boy, did it deliver! It was an absolute riot.
Sure, we've seen countless magic schools inspired by Harry Potter, and characters with extraordinary abilities are a dime a dozen in entertainment. However, Avengers of Light managed to seamlessly blend fantasy, weapons, sorcery, and a cast of eccentric and endearing characters. It transported me to a whimsical world that was brimming with charm.
Miss Howe definitely knows how to engage her audience. Her writing transported me into the middle of all the characters adventures. It was filled with so much excitement and anticipation, leading up to the grand adventure that awaited the main crew. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The monsters they encountered were genuinely menacing, the kids were a joy to follow, and the humor sprinkled throughout kept everything light-hearted, even though the fate of the world hung in the balance. Avengers of Light is definitely a new series that deserves your attention. Keep an eye out for it because it's bound to captivate readers of all ages.

Avengers of Light presents a fast-paced tale with high stakes, an intriguing world, and compelling characters. In order to succeed on their quest, the characters must overcome many obstacles—including themselves. For those who love books about adventure, supernatural powers, and family bonds, this story is well worth a read.
